    About This Service

    An insurance roof claim lives or dies on documentation. Most rejected and reduced claims aren't fraudulent - they're under-evidenced. Without dated photographs from before remediation, a clear cause statement linking damage to a covered event, and a market-rate quote on contractor letterhead, claim assessors default to 'maintenance issue' and your excess plus a fraction of the loss is what you receive. We've built our process around what assessors at IAG, Suncorp, QBE, Allianz, Youi, RACV and AAMI actually approve.

    Initial inspection captures the evidence pack: dated photographs of every damaged element from ground, eaves and ridge level; drone roof imagery where access is unsafe or the damage extent isn't visible from below; close-ups of the failure mode (lifted bedding mortar, snapped tile, punctured Colorbond, displaced flashing, fallen-limb impact crater); a written scope of works detailing each repair line with quantities; and a cause statement referencing the BOM bulletin number for the storm event or other proximate cause.

    Make-safe is carried out the same day where the property is at active water ingress risk - heavy-gauge tarp pinned with battens, gutters cleared, interior containment for any active leaks. Make-safe is logged separately in the scope so it's clearly invoiced as emergency mitigation (which insurers want done before approval) rather than bundled with the permanent works.

    Permanent reinstatement is carried out once your insurer authorises the claim, typically 5-15 business days after submission. We hold the temporary tarp in place at no extra cost during assessment, coordinate the assessor's site visit if required, and complete the works to match the original tile profile and Colorbond colour where the damaged material is still in production. For discontinued tile profiles we source matching reclaimed stock from our supplier network.

    Tradetek is fully licensed and insured - $20m public liability, structural roofing work cover and SafeWork NSW height-safety compliance. Cashless direct billing is offered for approved claims (you pay only your policy excess); alternatively we invoice you and you reimburse from the insurer settlement, whichever your policy and claim handler prefer.
