    How It Works

    1

    Site Assessment

We assess your industrial electrical requirements, review existing infrastructure, and identify any safety or compliance gaps.

    2

    Engineering & Design

We design electrical solutions that meet your operational needs, safety requirements, and relevant Australian Standards.

    3

    Installation

Our industrial electricians complete the installation with strict adherence to safety protocols and isolation procedures.

    4

    Commissioning

We test and commission all systems, provide compliance documentation, and train your team on safe operation procedures.

    About This Service

Industrial sites have failure modes a domestic electrician never encounters - VSD harmonics tripping nearby RCDs, motor bearings dying because the soft-starter ramp is wrong, busbar joints loosening from thermal cycling, IP-rated enclosures losing their seal after a wash-down, and DBs running 80% capacity on what was originally a 40% design load. The right time to find these is during scheduled maintenance, not at 2am during a production run.

Tradetek's industrial electricians work to AS/NZS 3000 for installations, AS 3439 for switchgear assemblies and AS/NZS 60204.1 for machinery safety. Scope covers three-phase distribution boards, MCCs (motor control centres), VSD installation and commissioning, soft-starter wiring, capacitor banks for power factor correction, KWh sub-metering for tenant cost allocation, and thermal imaging audits on switchgear under load.

Plant wiring is run in heavy-duty galvanised tray, RHS conduit or armoured cable depending on the environment - food, chemical and wash-down areas get IP66 enclosures with stainless gland plates; general workshop runs in epoxy-coated tray. Every cable is marked at both ends with shrink-tube labels and recorded on the as-built drawing so the next sparky in five years isn't tracing colours.

Maintenance contracts cover scheduled thermal scans (quarterly on high-load DBs, annually on others), torque-checks on busbar joints, RCD/RCBO push-tests, emergency stop and contactor tests, and AS/NZS 3760 in-service tag-and-test of portable equipment. You receive a written register, a priority-ranked defect list and a quoted action plan after every visit.

    Why Choose Us

    Three-Phase Specialists

VSDs, soft-starters, motor controls, capacitor banks and harmonic mitigation - the industrial-only work most electrical companies don't actually do.

    After-Hours Response

Production down at 2am? Licensed industrial electricians on call - documented response targets in maintenance contracts.

    Thermal Imaging Audits

Calibrated FLIR scans under full load find loose busbar joints and failing breakers before they take a line down.

    As-Built Documentation

Every install handed over with single-line diagram, cable schedule and DB schedule - usable by any sparky who follows.
