Grease Trap Cleaning — EPA-Compliant

Every Sydney café, restaurant, commercial kitchen and food processor connected to the Sydney Water sewer must operate a compliant grease arrestor under the Trade Waste Policy and AS/NZS 3500.2. Pump-out frequency is set in your Trade Waste Permit — typically quarterly for cafés, monthly for high-volume restaurants and bakeries. Skip the schedule and you face Trade Waste audit penalties from $880 plus mandatory increased testing.

Our pump-outs are EPA-licensed end-to-end. Waste is transferred to our EPA-licensed tanker , tracked through the EPA Waste Tracker portal, and disposed at a licensed liquid waste treatment facility (Veolia Brooklyn or Cleanaway Erskine Park). You receive a same-day Waste Transport Certificate showing weight, source and destination — this is what Sydney Water auditors want to see in your compliance folder.

Standard pump-out: $385 for traps up to 1,000L, $485 for 1,001–2,000L, POA for larger. Includes full pump-out, internal water rinse, basket clean, certificate. Optional bio-dosing program from $89/month suppresses odour and slows fat re-accumulation — typical clients on bio-dosing extend cleaning intervals by 4–6 weeks. We work after hours (10pm–5am) for restaurants that can't shut the kitchen during service — surcharge $145.
